Microsoft, the Redmond-based tech giant though silent on its device Surface Pro 5, tech enthusiasts are indeed waiting for its official announcement.
Last week, the Microsoft Store slashed the price of its Core M-based Surface Pro 4 by $100. The Surface Book 2 may come out in autumn.
The device is said to pack a Snapdragon 835 chipset. Interestingly, Microsoft has neither denied nor confirmed that the alleged mobile device is, indeed, in the pipeline.
Since the same moniker is shared, the Surface Phone's success could be similar to the Surface Pro tablet.
But the company has now looked to make room for its newest device by cutting out one of the previous Microsoft Surface devices - leaving some fans unhappy. The Microsoft Surface Dial could also be made compatible with Surface Pro 5.
A smaller 2K resolution screen has also been tipped.
If the Surface Phone is to happen, we can expect to see its unveiling somewhere in Q3 this year. There are rumors that Microsoft is developing a new display technology for the Pro 5, which will improve accuracy of the touch screen, both for the Surface Pen and user's hands. The Surface Pro 4 has received quite a positive response from the people and it's the one Surface device that constantly gets unbelievable reviews from tech blogs.
Just like is the case with all the other Surface tablets, the Surface 3 came with a detachable keyboard, but also with a wide array of connectivity options, including USB 3.0, mini DisplayPort, microSD, microUSB, headphone jack, and the cover port used for the keyboard. The Kaby Lake architecture will definitely give Microsoft bragging rights. Stay tuned for more updates.
