NASCAR rules changes will alter strategy in subtle and obvious ways

Each race will be broken into three stages.

Had some of those races where you lead 300 something laps and you lose out in the last five laps and those really sting.

All in all, NASCAR made some good changes without compromises what was working. The new system is too confusing and that NASCAR makes too many changes to the point system in recent years.

It was also announced that a champion will be crowned after the first 26 races, and an overall champion will be named following the championship race in Florida.

With all this being said, I, along with countless fans believe that NASCAR's top series is long overdue for an additional road course race on the schedule.

It was also revealed that points will also be awarded for the top-10 finishers in the season-opening Clash at Daytona, which traditionally has been a non-points race. Last year, he became the first foreign-born driver to win a championship in the Xfinity series, and earlier this month, he took a surprise phone call.

After the Homestead finale previous year, Kesleowski moaned over the format requiring drivers to take risks at all costs. Those core members included "stakeholder" drivers, team officials, former drivers, NASCAR officials, television partners and rack officials.
