Mafia 3 released in October to a lukewarm reception from critics (including us) due to repetitive gameplay and lack of overall polish.
Full details on the three story expansions haven't been released yet, but Hangar 13 did provide descriptions and release windows for each of them.
Apparently the story that came with the game wasn't enough for Hangar 13, and so they have created an expansion to it which will come as new expansions in the coming months. The two will join arms to take on a shady Sheriff terrorizing civil rights activists, kinda timely right? Hangar 13 plans to deliver "Faster, Baby!", "Stones Unturned", and "Sign of the Times" this year. Think Fast and Furious in the '60s!
Furthermore, the game's narrative director, Bill Harms, explained what to expect from Faster, Baby! when it arrives.
"Mafia 3" players are anticipating a new set of freebies and in-game perks and bonuses, much like the previous "Mafia 3" DLC where they enjoyed a bunch of new outfits, new golden gun and a free racing mode.
Beginning in March, three new pieces of story-based content will be releasing for Mafia III. A new unseen part of New Bordeaux is also being opened up and they promise "thrilling stunt driving and high octane vehicle chases".
Mafia III is out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This DLC will see Lincoln join forces with Roxy Laveau.
"Stones Unturned" will be arriving in May 2017 and see's a rival resurface in the New Bordeaux, forcing Lincoln to work with a Central Intelligence Agency agent named, John Donovan.
The last DLC will drop in July and will be a somewhat supernatural DLC titled "Sign of the Times". After a rise in ritualistic killings in New Bordeaux, Lincoln's spiritual advisor, Father James, requests Lincoln to investigate. You'll uncover dark secrets as you investigate the cult and experience a new side of New Bordeaux.
