Amazon Has Been Cancelling Persona 5 SteelBook Pre-Orders

PS4's Persona 5 Steelbook and 'Take Your Heart' Editions pre-orders canceled on Amazon

PS4's Persona 5 Steelbook and 'Take Your Heart' Editions pre-orders canceled on Amazon

This is because this item contains regulated materials classified as risky goods and cannot be delivered by Amazon.

According to the reports, the Steelbook Edition and "Take your Heart" Premium Edition pre-orders are being canceled. Additionally, the publisher stated that there is no truth in rumblings about mass cancellations, since only a few number of preorders have been canceled by Amazon.

Previously, some customers complained online that Amazon had canceled their preorders for the Premium Edition and SteelBook Edition of "Persona 5".

Unfortunately, this means that we're not able to ship your order and it has been canceled.

"After waiting patiently during the day we received word, and can confirm to you what we've always known, that there's nothing defective or "dangerous" about our product", a part of the statement read.

Amazon [Update: and Best Buy] has canceled a mass amount of pre-orders for Persona 5.

The user than uploaded a screenshot of the email they received from Amazon after inquiring about why their order was canceled.

Atlus, the developer of Persona 5, confirmed the misunderstanding through a post on its Facebook page, claiming that it was surprised with the reported Amazon cancellations of preorders for the game's special editions.

The Steelbook edition of the game comes with a collectible case featuring the characters from Persona 5. Take Your Heart Edition includes the case, soundtrack CD, plush toy, school bag and special box to fit it all in. The product is now not available to pre-order on Amazon.

Atlus has also said that affected users should contact Amazon directly for support.

Persona 5 is set for release on April 5, nearly seven months after the game debuted in Japan. Amazon still has it available, but it is likely we can expect that to change in the near future.
