Anthony Joshua vs. Wladimir Klitschko

Anthony Joshua produced a dramatic late knockout victory over Wladimir Klitschko in an epic heavyweight world title fight at London's Wembley Stadium Saturday.

Joshua knocked Klitschko down once in the fifth and twice in the 11 before referee David Fields stepped in to protect the defenseless former champion at 2:25 of the penultimate round.

Anthony Joshua was knocked down for the first time in his professional career but maintained his flawless knockout percentage in defeating Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday in London.

Joshua stopped Klitschko in the 11th round after both boxers suffered knock-downs during the Wembley thriller. Joshua sent Klitschko to the canvas in Round 5, but the Ukrainian worked his way back into the fight, sending Joshua crumbling to the canvas in Round 6 and seemed to be turning the tide.

The Ukrainian had also been sent crashing to the floor in the fifth round as the 27-year-old British fighter took his ideal record to 19 stoppage wins in 19 fights.

Joshua is just 27, and only 19 fights into his professional career.

"As boxing states, you leave your ego at the door and you respect your opponent, so a massive shou-tout to Vladamir Klitschko for taking part".

Joshua, the 2012 Olympic gold medallist, became subdued as Klitschko, who won the Olympic title in 1996, clawed his way back into the fight until the Briton unloaded a series of combinations to seal victory. On the line is Joshua's IBF title, as well as the vacant WBA and IBO belts.

Klitschko suffered his first stoppage defeat since 2004 when he was overwhelmed by Joshua's precision and power in a ferocious 11th-round assault.

"Two gentleman fought each other". The best man won tonight and it's an wonderful event for boxing.

Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko: What time will the fight start, what TV channel is it on and who will win? Anthony was better today than I. It's really sad that I didn't make it tonight.

"If he (Klitschko) wants to fight again, the rematch will happen".

The bell for the 11th saw Joshua rejuvenated, a handsome uppercut teeing up the first knockdown, then a left hook sending Klitschko down again - only for the Ukrainian to show vast heart to drag himself off the canvas.

"When there's that many people in the arena, when I dropped Klitschko, that roar lifted my arms up as well and I thought "This is it, he's not coming back".
