After the video game's great success, Blizzard also announced that there will be a new Game of the Year Edition for it.

Blizzard will celebrate the first anniversary of Overwatch with a selection of new maps, voice lines, emotes and skins.

Almost a year after its release on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Windows, Overwatch has become one of the most popular online multiplayer shooters on the market.

What's unclear about these dance emotes is if they're exclusive to the One Year Anniversary Event, or if they will be a part of the new basic loot box items.

"Here's a sneak peek at three new ARENA MAPS coming soon to our Overwatch Anniversary celebration".

Details regarding the upcoming Overwatch anniversary event have started to trickle out, with Blizzard about to add Arena maps and dance emotes into the popular multiplayer shooter. According to Kaplan while speaking to the recent NY event audience, Blizzard is open to the idea to introduce some new cross-over skins from a number of other Blizzard's franchises. From May 26 to 29, the free game weekend will run its course on all platforms, and all players that purchase the game during the free trial period will have their progress carried over into the full game.

"We have some ideas", game director Jeff Kaplan said.

Players will also be able to level up fast, earn some loot boxes, and unlock various new customization options. We felt like, for our first year, it was really important not to do that stuff.

However, it looks like that may change in the future, as Kaplan continued: "One thing that's really fun about Blizzard games is celebrating other Blizzard games". Many are now speculating that the event might be like their past game events. It highlighted the game's numerous accomplishments like its release, the "Overwatch" league, and many more.
