Facebook reactions now have a new addition for users of the incontestable number one social media platform to express thankfulness on posts and comments.

"In honor of Mother's Day we are testing the ability for people in a few markets to leave a flower reaction".
"You can personalize some of the cards by adding a photo, giving you the opportunity to share what Mother's Day means to you", Facebook said. A purple flower emoticon joins the "like", "love", "wow ', "haha", "sad" and 'angry" reactions buttons for posts. If users choose the flowers reaction on mobile, purple flowers pop up and surround the post instead of just one flower near the reaction button.

The company also added a selection of custom frames, masks and other camera effects to Messenger (below), and once again is temporarily adding "thankful" to its selection of emotional reactions. Via your mobile phone, you will be able to celebrate your mom by simply tapping on "thankful" when reacting to a post.

In recent years, Facebook has been completely capitalizing on its status as the new Hallmark with cards, stickers, and videos for every occasion from Friends Day to Chinese New Year. This of course, will be available when you swipe on the News Feed.

Facebook recorded reaching 300 billion reactions on posts and reported that the "love" reaction was used maximum times by its over 1.79 billion users.

Snapchat also added stickers to the app ahead of Sunday.

On Tuesday, Instagram announced a handful of stickers to also mark Mother's Day.

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers around the world!
