Tottenham ‘family’ will stick together next season Kane says

MAURICIO POCHETTINO CONCEDES Tottenham are unable to match their Premier League rivals when it comes to offering wages to potential targets.

Prolific striker Harry Kane expressed his determination to seal the Premier League's Golden Boot award after a four-goal rampage during Tottenham's demolition of dethroned champions Leicester.

'He is great, he is one of the best strikers in the world.

"It is very clear we will keep the players we want to keep".

"We are so, so calm about our key players. If they can keep this exciting side together. then they will be even more of a threat next season, assuming they can settle in at Wembley".

"We feel so proud of Harry, to score four goals was fantastic", Pochettino said.

Tottenham's success since Pochettino took charge in May 2014 means a number of his players have now become targets for bigger spending clubs with Kyle Walker, the right-back, linked with a potential move to Man City where he would nearly certainly double his salary. He means a lot for the team.

Beneath a dreary, solemn East Midlands sky, the young Englishman was at his best against a patchwork Leicester City defence that looked wholly incapable of dealing with the forward.

Six of his 24 goals have been scored with his head, while he has also shown his proficiency with both feet as 11 strikes have been with his left and seven with his right.

Eriksen has scored three goals in his last three Premier League games against the Tigers, scoring a 90th-minute victor in this fixture in the 2014-15 season.

"It's the first time I've scored four goals and it was a good moment to do it", Kane said.

Chelsea has taken the trophy off Leicester, which astonishingly won the title last season but collapsed this year and is now 11th.

"I think this is my best season".

When the second goal went in the hosts really struggled to get any momentum going to get a goal back before half-time which needed to change in the second half if they wanted to keep Craig Shakespeare's unbeaten home record alive. However, the Leicester fans certainly didn't let the scoreline put a dampener on their night out with the supporters constantly reminding Spurs of how last season had transpired.

With Spurs now in the middle of constructing a new 61,000-seater stadium, chairman Daniel Levy is likely to hand Pochettino a considerably smaller transfer budget in comparison to the rest of the Premier League's elite.

The home side thought they had found a foothold in the game when Chilwell was gifted his first Leicester goal in the 59th minute.
