Hillary Clinton Practiced How to Avoid a Hug From Donald Trump

Trump allegedly asked former FBI director James Comey to stop an investigation into links between former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and Russian Federation, according to a New York Times story based on reports of a memo written by Comey.

Reines proceeds to wrap his arms around Clinton as she attempts to scamper away and laughter fills the room.

On Friday, Reines tweeted a video of his "favorite moment from debate prep", showing Clinton practicing her technique by greeting a Trump stand-in before a debate.

The video was filmed on September 24, 2016 - eight days after the first Trump-Clinton debate and less than two weeks before the second debate, which took place on October 4.

On Thursday, The New York Times published a story quoting Benjamin Wittes, a friend of Comey's, who described the ex-FBI director's efforts during a White House reception. When he goes in for the bear hug, she slaps him with a high-five-turned-handshake, then makes a run for it.

This is just more baseless finger pointing at Clinton and Obama by Trump, perhaps in order to again divert some media attention.

And the comparisons to Comey's non-hug with Trump in the Oval Office ring true, too. It was bad enough there was going to be a handshake.

Reines tries to hug Clinton, avoids the hug by shaking his hand.

One of those incidents was when Trump beckoned to Comey from across the room during a January meeting of law enforcement officials at the White House, calling him over while saying "Oh, and there's Jim".

Reines, pretending to be Trump, walks out on stage with his arms wide open in an attempt to hug Clinton. Trump joked that Comey has "become more famous than me".
