LeBron James says there's nothing left for him to prove

That streak ended when Toronto beat the Cavs in Games 3 and 4 of the Eastern Conference final, but the Raptors couldn't duplicate the feat this time around. The last time Toronto lost three consecutive games was February 8-14.Last season when the teams met in the Eastern Conference finals, the Raptors won Game 3 and Game 4 at home after the Cavaliers won the first two games in Cleveland.

DeRozan will nearly certainly be better in Game 3 after going just two-of-11 from the field and scoring five points in Game 2.

The feisty point guard sprained his left ankle on Wednesday, joined his teammates for Friday's warmup, but was limping noticeably, and spent the night on the bench.

It was in the fourth that James finally started to look like the James from the first two games, going off for nine points in the first six minutes of the quarter as the Cavs started to pull away for good.

Kevin Love delivered 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Cavaliers, and Kyrie Irving also scored 16 while Kyle Korver had 14 points.

DeMar DeRozan scored 37 points and Jonas Valanciunas had 19 for the Raptors, who were without three-time All-Star Kyle Lowry. Norman Powell made Toronto's first 3-pointer with 3:09 in the third quarter - the Raptors were 0-of-12 up to that point.

The series moves to Toronto for Game 3 on Friday at 7 p.m. EST. "This year we understood what mindset we had to come in, especially in a rowdy arena like this".

He shot 12-of-20 from the field, a much better performance than the four points he scored in Houston's one-sided win in Game 1.

"That group's been great for us during the postseason", Love said. Cleveland used a late 17-1 surge to put this game out of reach and put Toronto on the brink of elimination.

The Cavaliers are now up 3-0 in the series and can close it out Sunday.

If Lowry can't play, Cory Joseph?likely would start in his place.

Lowry suffered the injury in Game 2 in Cleveland when Cavs forward Tristan Thompson shoved Toronto's Norm Powell, who hit Lowry sideways as he fell.

All told, Toronto's reserves had just nine points to the 30 Cleveland's bench provided.

Kawhi Leonard was the star once more with 26 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. The action tips off at 7pm EST on May 5 and we've got your way to watch online via live stream. The optimist says they got it half right.

"DeRozan was unbelievable - he gave everything he had", said James.

DeRozan, who was 12-for-23 from the field and 13-for-13 on free throws, did not take a shot from 3-point range. The Cavs gun for the sweep Sunday night at Air Canada Centre.

Not only do the Cavs take a lot of threes (33.5 per game in the playoffs), they make a lot of threes (14.3 per game) at a high percentage (42.8%). Despite struggling mightily to get and make three-point shots, the Raps went into the locker room up 52-49.

But LeBron James swears it was just a normal basketball play. Those two guys together, it's a tough duo and you add LeBron to the mix when they play small on him. "We've been in this situation before, and again, it's not going to be easy". A running layup by P.J. Tucker capped Toronto's 22-9 run and gave the Raptors a four-point lead.
