Moses sees red as Arsenal claim FA Cup

Iwobi won his first trophy of his professional football career when Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1 to win the 2017 FA Cup title.

Wenger's side thoroughly deserved their victory, and they should have won by an even greater margin - they were a yard sharper and a yard quicker than every Chelsea player throughout the game. "You notice the team has suffered, but we are united, we responded".

He is reported to have been offered a two-year contract and while dissent against him has mounted this season, the stirring nature of his side's win will surely have won back some of his team's disgruntled fans.

"Honestly. I think that this goal (should have been) disallowed because there is a clear handball".

To win in this way with the 30 wins [in the Premier League] and arrive in the final of the FA Cup, without a big squad but a normal [sized] squad.

"It's down to the board members if I am the right man to lead this club further", the 67-year-old Frenchman said.

There was better luck, too.

Alexis Sanchez gave Arsenal the lead in contentious fashion after only four minutes, when referee Anthony Taylor overruled his assistant after he had flagged for offside against Aaron Ramsey.

"It's not a good feeling now", Courtois told the official Chelsea website. "If he doesn't run to the ball, I can go out and claim the ball but now because he runs I stop and then Sanchez takes advantage".

And their task became even harder when Victor Moses was correctly sent off by Taylor in the second half after receiving a second yellow card for diving.

But Arsenal continued to threaten on the break and in the 68th minute the momentum tilted yet further in their direction. "I think this season has been hurt by some dip in March as well and I am convinced we were hurt by the uncertainty about my future with the players".

Diego Costa revived Chelsea in the 76th minute when Arsenal keeper David Ospina failed to keep out his deflected shot.

"It's been an up and down season", Ramsey said, "but to finish it with an FA Cup has to be a successful season". "A lot of teams are waiting to be champions for very long, including Arsenal".

"For me, this season was incredible for us". Arsenal were impressively compact at the back but, much more impressively, repeatedly and rampantly got in behind Chelsea's own display to create a series of chances.
