"This was a hit", O'Reilly said.

Bill O'Reilly on Friday morning addressed his firing from Fox News, blasting some of the press as "vicious and evil" while promising an "exposition" to reveal supposed untold details about his unexpected ouster last month.

Bill O'Reilly broke his silence Friday in his first interview since being fired by Fox News, saying his dismissal was "a hit" caused by the "destroying voices" of the "far left".

In his first interview since he was sacked last month, Bill O'Reilly has vowed to take legal action against what he sees as a mysterious "organized left-wing cabal" that seeks his destruction. "From now on when I'm attacked, I'll take legal action".

O'Reilly said Fox was pressured by left-wing activists who came in and threatened sponsors unless they stopped running commercials on the highly-rated "O'Reilly Factor". "I was target No. 1, and it's sad".

O'Reilly was sacked by Fox News last month in the wake of a series of sexual harassment allegations. "It's grossly dishonest", he lamented during the three-hour show. The cable news king was dismissed from his 21-year perch at the network. "They being not the company so much, but when you have organized people being paid to demonstrate outside of your headquarters and all of that, I mean, it's intense". He discussed taking legal action against those who wronged him, and just as O'Reilly claimed on his first podcast that "the truth will come out", he said the story is not over.

"My attorneys told me, and we were all shocked". He chastized Beck for believing news reports that he had received a $25 million kiss-off from Fox.

"Conservative media outlets are circling the former Fox News Channel ratings king in the hope of creating a potent competitor to Fox News Channel", said the New York Daily News.
