Xiaomi Mi Max 2 To Be Launched Next Week

Well, the talk is about the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. The Mi Max 2 will be officially introduced on May 25. A quick look at the Chinese company's official website reveals that the Mi Max 2 is set to be announced on May 25. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2, as many of you already know, is Xiaomi's upcoming phablet which had been leaking out for quite some time now, and thanks to those leaks we already have plenty of info when it comes to its design and specs, read on. Android 7.1.1 Nougat will come pre-installed on the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, says GFXBench, and on top of it, you'll get Xiaomi's MIUI 8 OS. Xiaomi keeps up the tradition of launching the mobiles in China first and then to other markets. The device will be powered by Snapdragon 626 processor and will most likely be available in just the 128GB internal variant.

A 5000mAh battery unit will power the phone, bigger than the 4850mAh unit seen on the Mi Max. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 could come with a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.

According to reports, some of the other rumoured specifications include a 6.44-inh full-HD display and 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX378 sensor. Few rumors also suggest the Mi Max 2 to come with the newly announced Snapdragon 660 SoC that comes with Adreno 512 GPU.

The Mi Max 2 will fill in as a commendable move up to the Mi Max, which we had assessed soon after its release in India. For a 6.4-inch display, we can expect the device to tout a massive 5,000mAh battery and using improved engineering, Xiaomi could also reduce the thickness of the handset considerably. Mi Max 2 is going to be the successor of the Mi Max which was launched previous year. The Mi Max 2 also packs a bunch of sensors including accelerometer, barometer, compass, gyroscope, pedometer, proximity, and light sensor.
