Cosby, who says he is now legally blind, sat with his back to Johnson as his lawyer subjected her to a terse, furious cross-examination.

"As she went in and out of consciousness, she witnessed her body being used to sexually gratify the defendant", Feden said.

"This is a historic day", she told reporters outside the courtroom.

Actor Bill Cosby arrived at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Pennsylvania to face charges that he drugged and assaulted former Temple University employee Andrea Constand at his Cheltenham home in 2004. This news organization and its wire services do not typically identify people who say they are sexual assault victims unless they grant permission, which Constand and Johnson have done. So far, more than 50 women have come forward to accuse the former Cosby Show actor of drugging and sexually assaulting them, despite many having out-waited their statute of limitations.

Constand, who did not report the alleged assault for almost a year, said she had not maintained contact with Cosby after the incident.

Knight Pulliam says she doesn't condone any form of sexual assault and that she's sensitive to the gravity of the charges against Cosby, given her Kamp Kizzy Foundation's mission to promote self-esteem, empowerment and motivation in girls.

When she woke up, Johnson testified, she was on a bed with her dress pulled up from the bottom and pulled down from the top, exposing her breasts.

"I did work with him for a really long time, I love him dearly still, and that isn't the man that I know", she added.

"She couldn't say no", Ms Feden said. That's when Cosby allegedly assaulted her with his hands.

McMonagle told jurors that Constand's story suffered from numerous inconsistencies in her accounts to police in 2005.

Cosby appeared to appreciate McMonagle's grilling of Johnson, smiling and tapping his cane at the defense table. Johnson's incident that seemingly occurred in a similar manner to what former Temple University employee Constand said happened to her nearly a decade before.

QUOTE: "I felt embarrassed because I had a secret about the biggest celebrity in the world at the time and it was just me, just my word against his, and I was very afraid".

A trusted mentor and friend gave Andrea Constand three pills. She said her relationship with Cosby would often include Cosby calling her at home and asking her about her future career plans."He would call and ask me about my life, like in a fatherly, favorite uncle, Dr. Huxtable kind of way", she said, referring to Cosby's character on "The Cosby Show", which aired 1984-92.Johnson said that Cosby first invited her to act out a television scene at his home, which included "an embrace and a kiss" that she rebuffed. And we can see just how well they were treated, both by Cosby's lawyers and the general public.

Ms Constand, 44, of the Toronto area, is expected to take the stand this week and tell her story in public for the first time. She says he gave her wine and a pill and then sexually assaulted her.

"I gave her the pills, she took them, we laid on the couch like we had done time and time again".

The seven-man, five-woman jury will be sequestered for the duration of the trial, which is expected to last about two weeks. Cosby has denied ever assaulting anyone, saying the encounters with Constand and others were consensual.

Chants of "Free Cosby" resounded as Cosby entered the building where he has already faced roughly 18 months of pretrial proceedings.

WHO'S IN COURT: Actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, who played Cosby's youngest daughter, Rudy Huxtable, on "The Cosby Show", accompanied him into court to show support.

"My truth was to be here and to be supportive, and it's not always easy to do what you feel is truthful and what you feel is right when there's so much controversy. I want her to know there are her sisters out here support Andria Constant and let her know that there are her sisters out here in support", she told Inside Edition.
