Everything is on the table for the 0-2 Cavaliers

The Warriors answered by signing former Most Valuable Player Durant, adding a powerful forward to 3-point sharpshooters Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry, a two-time NBA MVP, and top rebounder Draymond Green.

"We're young. We're hungry".

"We definitely have a sense of what they're capable of, and we felt like a lot of times tonight we played better basketball", Love said. While the Cavaliers again got nearly no meaningful production from anyone outside their Big Three of James, Love and Irving - who struggled, the Warriors welcomed 22 points from Klay Thompson, their defensive stopper who has not shot well in the playoffs but is one of the best shooters in the sport.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver speaks at a news conference before Game 1 of basketball's NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers in Oakland, Calif., Thursday, June 1, 2017.

"He sees things before they even happen", Cavaliers assistant coach Larry Drew said.

"I think we have done a lot of things well".

Cleveland overcame a 3-1 deficit in last year's Finals and will have to overcome a 2-0 one this year as the Finals shift back to OH for Wednesday's Game 3. So the flawless play-off mark was not overly lauded.

"They took care of home court", Irving said. "You never know who will come up and show up for us". It was 2-0 previous year, and we lost. Kevin Durant again led Golden State with 33 points as his team pulled away after leading by just three at halftime. King James notched his eighth playoff triple-double, tying Magic Johnson for the most in post-season history. "He's been such a big piece of our success the last three years, obviously", James said.

It means Kyrie Irving has to remember he wielded the Game 7 dagger that gutted the Warriors just 12 months ago. He scored 15 of them in the first quarter but said afterwards his six first-half turnovers had convinced him to help take control of the game.

Irving hasn't been forced to leave any game because of injury, yet the cumulative effect of all that playing and his past injury history could potentially make him more vulnerable and sideline him for the remainder of the series.

What was so discouraging for the Cavs is that they played better in Game 2 but the result didn't really change.

Their leader and reigning NBA Coach of the Year back on the bench at last, Curry and Kevin Durant tag-teamed the Warriors within two victories of another championship.

He, too, shrugged off individual glory. "Keep making them beat us".

LeBron James started Game 2 like he had no choice but to do everything for himself, his team, his franchise, and trying his best to make this his series.

"So we've got to just keep going, keep our foot on the gas and keep getting better every day".

The visitors trailed by just three points at half-time at Oracle Arena, before the Warriors outscored the Cavaliers 35-24 in a decisive third quarter. "We know this is far from over".

"If you make a mistake". "We understand that. Down 0-2, going back home, you have to live with those odds".

The gravity of the Splash Brothers can create space for Durant, as it has done so often with a host of wide-open transition dunks in the first two games. "Now we've got to go home and regroup".
