The bus continues narrowly missing him as Mr Smith begins to slide across the pavement

"He didn't have any lasting injuries". Somehow, Smith survived the collision with no major injuries - just a few scratches and bruises, the BBC reported.

It is also believed to have crashed into a bin before hitting a building and then the wall of St Mary's Minister.

Smith, 53, was by a bus stop in Berkshire, England when the accident took place but it's what happened afterwards that will leave you shaking your head.

It is not yet known what caused the bus to collide with Mr Smith. An ambulance was later called for a medical checkup of the victim.

"The road was closed for about two hours". The police have not yet made any arrests in the ongoing investigation.

Simon Smith was crossing the road in Reading, UK when he was hit by a bus that spun out of control, CCTV footage taken on June 24 showed. Another pedestrian had hospital treatment after being hit by debris.

The bus driver hit a pedestrian and demolished the window of a nearby shop. The bus fled the scene after the crash, but Reading Buses told the BBC it is conducting an internal investigation into the "awful incident".

Simon, from Reading, said: 'I heard some banging behind me and I was hit from behind.

The bus itself appears to sustain a shattered windscreen following the impact, before coming to a halt a short distance away following the incident on Gun Street at 9am on Saturday. The passengers on the bus did not suffer any major injuries, he said, adding that Reading Buses is sharing on-board CCTV footage with the police.

The whole incident was recorded on a CCTV camera and since then the footage has gone viral.
