Álvaro Morata has agreed terms with Manchester United and must now wait for the Premier League club to reach a deal with Real Madrid, according to reports.

United have been linked with the 24-year-old after cooling their interest in Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann.

Lopez told of United: "It's a club with a lot of charm, a very interesting option".

AC Milan were also interested in Morata, with Lopez revealing their offer simply fell short before they instead opted to sign Porto striker Andre Silva.

I can say that their offer is a very, very important one and now the decision goes to Real.

When pressed about a deal being completed, Lopez pumped the breaks a bit, saying: "I can not say - we will see".

Man United have offered 70 million euros for Morata, but Madrid are holding out for 90 million.

On Milan's interest, Morata's agent said: "Yes, there was frequent contact with us until a few days ago - I can confirm that". In addition to this, the attacker held talks with his compatriots Ander Herrera and David de Gea to know their views on the 20-time English champions.

But that is not all - as with any major football star there is other money to be made in the form of image rights, which will see him earn £1.7m per year on top of his base wage.
