Star Wars: The Last Jedi won't expand upon Snoke

Lourd, who was also in The Force Awakens, is rocking a version of the classic Princess Leia hair buns made iconic by her mother Carrie Fisher in 1977 with Star Wars: A New Hope.

Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), Finn (John Boyega), Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran) and BB-8 look less tired and more commanding on the next cover. The actor, who died in December at the age of 60 following a heart attack, will be remembered for her insanely sharp wit and tenacious spirit, the same tenacity and strength she showed her younger Star Wars costars Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" won't be so far away anymore, as the film's characters will grace four new covers of Vanity Fair. He is joined by Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie) and General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson). "And it would have been", Kennedy said. "Because I think of her in the present tense".

British Star Wars fans are desperate to get hold of the latest Vanity Fair magazine featuring a brand new cover image of late actress Carrie Fisher. But for now, we get a look at the main heroes and villains in their somewhat new costumes, though you can definitely see that some aspects have been carried over from The Force Awakens.

Waiting until December to watch Star Wars: The Last Jedi becomes harder and harder everyday.

Judging from the character photo, DJ's a pretty sleazy guy, even by Star Wars standards, looking like he's spent the night in a Mos Eisley dumpster sleeping off a Rodian spice liquor binge.

Those characters, who you can see above, are Laura Dern's Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo, a "prominent officer in the Resistance" who has always been rumoured to potentially play a somewhat antagonistic role at some point in the film, butting heads with her fellow Resistance members, and Benicio Del Toro's unnamed character - although he's referred to by the cast and crew as "DJ". But Johnson did say, "You'll see - there's a reason why we call him DJ".

In an in-depth preview in Vanity Fair, cast & crew members spoke about their time here.
