In fact, he is hoping to coach the Arizona Cardinals beyond the upcoming season.

Arizona head coach Bruce Arians knows where to point the finger, and his target shouldn't surprise anyone. He also had to go to the hospital twice after he did.

"I think the biggest reason was losing the opener on Sunday Night Football to the (New England) Patriots on that missed field goal", Arians said Wednesday on ProFootballTalk Live. He described the situation in his recently released book "The Quarterback Whisperer". My energy has returned. I'm told I'm cancer-free again. He was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma on December 15, three days before Arizona hosted the New Orleans Saints in its home finale, after a cancerous spot was detected on his kidney during a doctor's visit earlier in the week. Arians earned the nickname for his expert honing of National Football League gunslingers, including: Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck and now Carson Palmer. "Show me where you are reading #TheQuarterbackWhisperer for a chance to win a signed copy", Arians tweeted Tuesday.

Arians believed that drinking paint - this can't be real - made him more hard to tackle when he played in neighborhood football games. One year after making it to the 2015 NFC Championship Game, the team struggled to a 7-8-1 record and didn't qualify for the playoffs.

"I now realize more than ever nothing is guaranteed in life", Arians wrote, according to AZCardinals.com. "Every day needs to be enjoyed and celebrated to the fullest. This is my charge".
