On Saturday, actor Dileep's bail plea which came up for consideration at the Angamaly Judicial First Class Magistrate Court was turned down.

Kochi: Actor Dileep, arrested in connection with the abduction and assault of a popular Malayalam actress, being produced in a court in Kochi. "Dileep may also escape from the clutches of the law and make himself unavailable from the trial of the case", police said. After hearing the arguments of the prosecution and also the counter arguments of the lawyer who appeared to defend the actor, the court rejected the bail plea. Later he was sent to Aluva Sub Jail.

Earlier, police had also raided Dileep's wife and actress Kavya's Madhavan's online boutique Laksyah based on the letter apparently written by Suni addressing the leading Malayalam actor.

The police have intensified their search for Dileep's manager Appunni. He has gone back to his original stance that he doesn't know Pulsar suni, they say. Dileep was arrested on July 10 and remanded to 14-days of judicial custody. We have all the sufficient records and evidence with us in the case, Special Prosecutor A Sureshan told reporters, the report added.

Dileep's advocate claimed that the actor was being framed in the case.

She alleged that she was molested and her pictures taken by the abductors who later dropped her by the roadside near the house of a film producer, according to media reports.

The actor was arrested on Monday for allegedly hiring a gang of goons to attack a fellow actress due to personal grudge.
