Marcotti: Chelsea boss Conte wants Morata or Belotti over Aubameyang

Today, Chelsea are confident of beating Liverpool to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang....

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reportedly after a new striker, with the club now in pole position to bring Gabon forward Aubameyang, having missed out on Romelu Lukaku to rivals Manchester United, and with a deal for Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata proving hard to secure, as reported by the Mirror.

It is claimed that there has been no contact between Dortmund and Chelsea this summer about Aubameyang, although the German club are said to have told the Gabon worldwide that his future must be resolved one way or the other by 24 July.

According to reports, Liverpool and Chelsea are set to battle in the race to sign £65million rated Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Klopp is the manager who signed Aubameyang from Saint Etienne in 2013 but departed before the 28-year old shone at the Westfalenstadion.

Sierra posted the below Tweet, claiming that the Premier League champions had submitted an official £56.9M bid for Aubameyang, which is considerably lower than what the Mirror believed we were willing to spend.

If true, the news will be a blow to Liverpool but I think Aubameyang will prove to be a superb signing for the Blues if they do manage to get a deal wrapped-up this summer.
