The past collaboration saw ZEISS and Nokia phones driving technology innovations such as the world's first multi-megapixel smartphone and many more standard-setting smart devices, from the Nokia Nseries to those handsets featuring PureView technologies.

Rumours and leaks up until now have largely pointed that the Nokia 8 and Nokia 9 would be launched in the second-half of the year.

According to a WinFuture report, the Finnish company will launch its flagship smartphone powered by Snapdragon 835 on July 31.

Nokia 8 is further said to come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. WinFuture also reports the Nokia 8 will come with dual-SIM cards in Europe, but the company is likely to offer the single SIM variant of the device as well.

Nokia's mid-range devices such as Nokia 5, Nokia 6 are yet to hit the global markets officially.

The Nokia 7 would have an operating system of Android Nougat, fast battery charging, a fingerprint scanner and 1920×1080 pixels full HD screen.

However, Nokia pulled a last minute swerve and has made a decision to name it Nokia 8. It's also being assumed that the phone with the model number TA-1004 would be launched as the Nokia 9. And this time the price of Nokia 8 is also leaked.

HMD now is busy with developing other phones too - a budget Nokia 2, Nokia 7 which would be mid-range and Nokia 9 that would be a high-end phone with ultimate specs. Right now we are not sure about Nokia 9, but the new report indicates at the upcoming Nokia 8.

While the report suggests otherwise, it is unlikely that the Nokia 8 go on sale on July 31. Nokia 6 is available in Amazon India at Rs. 14,999.

We will surely update you if anything new comes up relating to Nokia 8 phone. There is also a possibility that the device may sport ZEISS lens-backed high-quality camera setup, as HMD Global has recently announced a partnership with German optics company with ZEISS lens. Nokia 8 is expected to feature two cameras, each of 13 Megapixels on the back.
