Nine Inch Nails Detail New EP Add Violence, Second of Three Planned Releases

Trent Reznor and co. have made the sweetest day of the working week even sweeter by unleashing a toe-tapping new tune dubbed "Less Than" off their freshly announced EP Add Violence, which just-so-happens to be out next week.

The new five-song set follows the band's Not The Actual Events EP, which dropped in December a year ago.

A statement reads: "Add Violence finds Nine Inch Nails becoming more accessible and impenetrable at the same time".

The press release also notes: "The sonic palette expands significantly from Not the Actual Events, incorporating elements of beauty into the dark dissonance".

If you're a Nine Inch Nails fan, there's a chance you've spotted their new song LESS THAN, and the video for this single, released yesterday, contains an appearance from a customised version of PS4 game Polybius.

"[Trent Reznor] mentioned that he'd enjoyed Llamasoft's stuff and he had an idea to discuss", designer Jeff Minter told Ars Technica. Pre-order Add Violence here.

The first song of the five-track EP was released today, and is available on Spotify, or you can check out the music video below.

Nine Inch Nails have thee U.S. shows planned this summer, kicking off at FYF Fest in Los Angeles on July 23.
