Chelsea's Gary Cahill is shown a red card by referee Craig Pawson after a foul on Burnley's Steven Defour during their English Premier League match at Stamford Bridge in London

Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas saw red as Burnley beat the Blues 3-2 at Stamford Bridge.

"One positive in the second half, one negative in the first half".

"We only got that one away win a year ago at Palace, which meant a lot to the fans and today I'm sure it will mean the same", said Vokes. The departure of the Serbian has left Conte short of options in the middle of the park as he plots how to combine Chelsea's Premier League title defence with a return to the Champions League.

Fellow MOTD2 pundit Jermaine Jenas added: "The way they capitulated and conceded three goals, that's not what Chelsea are about". We've all seen it with players coming to the Premier League, some adapt quicker but some it takes time, so we're hoping he continues building on his own performances and that's effective for us. We have to improve in this respect and we must pay attention to think there is the rest of the game to do our best.

"We've got to learn to keep possession better, we're still flippant with it", Dyche said after the win at Chelsea. "This is really good news for us".

Conte, whose pre-season preparations with the Premier League champions have been overshadowed by speculation of a rift within the club hierarchy, said: "I have to study formations with 10 and nine players because when this happens so regularly, you must be anxious".

Dyche is still expecting a challenging campaign this time, despite the stunning start.

"But it's one result and the season is right in front of us". It's very hard for this club to make massive strides, so it's about just shifting it forward.

"It gets us a win and an away win, so it kills all of that off, but we're not getting carried away".

"It was important for us but for the fans as well, it was a huge win".
