The images of the phone were found by Brazilian site tudocelular in an application lodged in July and made public recently.

Moto X4 smartphone is expected to be announced at an event in Brazil on August 24.

Moto X4 will feature metal and 3D glass smart dual rear cameras (12MP + 8MP) with dual LED flash placed above the two lenses.

The phone will have a USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack on the base with a SIM slot (possibly a dual SIM/microSD card slot) at the top.

Interestingly, the back has been layered with glass and is a bit curved. The phone will also feature a front-mounted fingerprint sensor with some gesture support, similar to what we have seen in recent Moto devices like the Moto G5 and G5 Plus, Moto Z2 Play and so on. For the front, there will be a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The Moto Z2 Force is officially here, purchasable on basically any major USA carrier. The dual camera feature is of course in place. This is highly admirable since it is rumoured that the X4 would be the first Motorola MOTO device to receive an IP ingress resistance certification. Under the hood, it could come with an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 or Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 2.2GHz. Out of the box the MOTO X4 is running a lightly skinned flavour of Android v.7.1.1, Nougat. The display is a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080 x1920) panel (fingers crossed for AMOLED). In Europe, North America and Latin America, the handset will come with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, while in the Asia Pacific region, the Moto X4 will come with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It'll also include a 1035mAh battery inside the controller, which according to Verizon can offer "up to 8 hours of extra charge".
