The Latest: Tiger Woods to enter diversion program Oct. 25

The Daily Mail report states that Smith is a 34-year-old personal stylist from Dallas who was previously married to former National Football League safety Gerald Sensabaugh, and that Smith allegedly "went crazy" when she learned of Woods' May arrest, saying, "I knew it, I knew it".

Palm Beach County Assistant State Attorney Adrienne Ellis said Woods entered the plea Wednesday. Woods was not in the courtroom on Wednesday. No alcohol was found in his system.

Meanwhile, Woods pleaded not guilty Wednesday via a lawyer to the DUI charge from his May arrest at the wheel of his auto. Usually, the decision to allow a defendant take the 12-month long program for the first time DUI offenders are made and settled after the arraignment.

Woods, whose 79 career PGA Tour wins are three shy of Sam Snead's all-time record, has not won a major title since the 2008 US Open and has not won any event since the 2013 World Golf Championships Bridgestone Invitational. Any other plea would require Woods' attendance.

Tiger Woods' legal counsel also shared that the case is very similar to the past DUI cases he has handled before and his clients were given entry to the program.

His attorney, Douglas Duncan, said in an email Tuesday to The Associated Press that Woods won't be attending the hearing, but he didn't elaborate.

Woods told authorities he had not been drinking but had a reaction to several prescription drugs used for back pain and insomnia.
