Zach Randolph Arrested for Weed In LA ... Crowd Turns Hostile

Z-Bo was one of three people to be arrested and it sparked "a insane disturbance" that forced the cops to call for backup.

Zach Randolph was arrested on a felony charge of marijuana possession with intent to sell Wednesday night in Los Angeles, according to arrest records obtained by SB Nation.

They ultimately found a large group of people smoking marijuana and blocking the road, at which point Randolph himself was popped with what is likely a large amount of the substance. The newly signed Kings forward was issued a $20,000 bail by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

LAPD says an unruly "mob" formed when officers responded, throwing objects and attempting to destroy police cruisers.

Three people, include the National Basketball Association player, were taken into custody and charged with felony drug possession with intent to sell.

TMZ reports six police cars were vandalized by having tires slashed and windows busted, and officers had to form a battle line to restore order.

According to the report, officers were investigating what was described as a disturbance in the neighborhood.

After the arrests, we're told things got insane - the crowd became unruly and LAPD had to call for backup.

Earlier this summer, Zach Randolph left the Memphis Grizzlies after eight seasons by signing a two-year, $24 million deal with the Sacramento Kings.
