Bears' Kevin White out several weeks with broken shoulder blade

White went on injured reserve past year after suffering a spiral fracture to his left fibula in the fourth game.

Wide receiver Kevin White broke his left shoulder Sunday and will be placed on injured reserve, coach John Fox said Monday.

This is White's third straight season affected by injury.

White may have to go under the knife yet again. On Sunday, the Bears got more bad news at it relates to White, as the Bears reportedly fear that he suffered a broken collarbone during their season-opening loss to the Atlanta Falcons. White missed all of 2015 with a stress fracture to his left tibia.

White, 25, was selected with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. In 2016, he played in four games before suffering a fractured fibula in the same leg. Unfortunately, he just can't shake the injury bug. With Cameron Meredith also sidelined the team will turn to Kendall Wright, Markus Wheaton, and Deonte Thompson at receiver.

Injuries have hit the Bears receiving corps with force.

Despite losing both White and the game, Chicago fans should be pleased with the team after they nearly upset the defending Super Bowl runners-up.
