Bhoomi challenged me as a father and an actor: Sanjay Dutt

'Bhoomi' 1st (first) day box office collection: Sanjay Dutt film to receive grand opening

He last appeared in a film in 2014 and promoters trailed Friday's release with a poster on social media declaring: "The Beast is Back". Despite facing competition from the Shraddha Kapoor-starrer, Bhoomi is getting a positive response from Baba's fans. The movie explores the attractive father daughter relationship.

Aditi, who has played glamourous roles in her previous films, is seen in a totally different avatar in Bhoomi.

Bhoomi, directed by Mary Kom and Sarabjit director Omung Kumar, will hit the theaters on September 22. The film's trailer got praises from all corners and thus we expect a power-pack performance by Sanjay Dutt in the film. Aditi Rao Hydari plays his daughter in the film.

Talking about the role, Sanjay says, "I want to play roles that challenge me as well as hit the right chord". However, director Omung Kumar has presented the sequence in a very tasteful manner by keeping minimum dialogues and a montage of little events unfolding around a still-life bride. This turns the father-daughter duo into revenge-seekers, and they proceed to eliminate everyone connected to the crime one by one. The movie looks like an action-packed one.

Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt wanted to be a part of song Trippy-Trippy alongside Sunny Leone. My mother did Mother India when she was 26, so I think actors who attempt to play the role of a father or mother, they are playing a character. However, Bhoomi is a better filmed and it is better than the old revenge drama movie. Sanjay said, in the entire film he does not have any song, at least give me few scenes in this song.
