Gianni Versace was the founder of the global fashion house, Versace and was shot in 1997 at the age of 50.

Versace had extended its invitation to Alessandro Michele of Gucci, Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino and Anthony Vaccarello of Saint Laurent, who also exhibited their collections at the Milan Fashion Week recently.

Proving they still, absolutely, 3000% still have it original 90s supermodels Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christensen and Carla Bruni all strutted down the catwalk on Friday in Donatella Versace's Milan show. By bringing back Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Carla Bruni, and Helena Christensen, in glittering gold lame no less, to the cheers of the audience-and reviving the house's signature silk prints in the same fell swoop-Versace reinforced its reputation for showmanship.

There were cheers, stomping of feet and wolf whistles as the five women plus designer Donatella Versace, swept down the runway, those famous hips swinging to the soundtrack of George Michael's Freedom.

The five original nineties supermodels closed the Spring/Summer 2018 show at Milan Fashion Week.

Vaccarello, who before joining Saint Laurent previous year was Versus Versace's creative director, said he was "super happy and super honored to be here".

"They have a green room each, but they are running in and out of each other's rooms all day", said Donatella. Tapping bold prints from their 1991 and 1995 collections, leopard print from the 1992 Animalier collection, and also the Greek baroque styles of the 1991 collection.

"The silhouettes are all new because the shapes from those days look dated today", Donatella revealed at a pre-show press conference. Everyone loves the leggings again. "It's 2017, after all", she added.
