Major fire breaks out at RK Studio in Mumbai

A hefty fire broke out at RK studio in Chembur on Saturday afternoon, the fire spread at the electric wing of the studio. The fire was confined to electric wiring, electric installation, decoration equipment in the 100×80 sq ft area on the ground floor of the building, as per news agency PTI. 6 fire tenders and 5 water tankers were rushed to the spot, suggested media reports.

"There is no report of anyone suffering injury in the fire so far", he said.

Fire breaks out at RK Studios in Mumbai on September 16th. RK Studio houses RK Films, a film production company established by, and named after, legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor. His son, actor Rishi Kapoor expressed sadness over the incident and shared the latest update on Twitter. Founded in 1945, the studio has produced numerous Bollywood hits.
