Kid Rock Barred A Detroit Newspaper From Covering His Concert In Retaliation Over A Critical Article

Stephen Henderson, a Free Press editorial page editor, wrote that when "divisive performer Kid Rock" was chosen to open the arena, "it sent a message to the Detroiters who made the project possible and who have yet to see the benefits promised. We won't reward bad behavior", Webster said, according to the Free Press. I don't want to stand here and sound like a jerk. Let's do it with child care, child training and find them a (expletive) place to work.

The activists are opposed to Kid Rock's display of the Confederate flag, criticism of National Football League quarterback Colin Kaepernick and support for President Donald Trump. F***ing bigots. And now again the KKK? "Stay the hell away". "But things shouldn't be this complicated, and no you don't get to choose because whatever you have between your legs should determine the bathroom that you use".

Instead, striding on stage to "Hail to the Chief" and flanked by dancers holding American flags, Rock delivered a rhyming, campaign-style speech that echoed one he gave during a concert last week in Grand Rapids, Mich., as well as recent blog postings on his web site.

Before closing his speech, he called for unity.

"Regardless of whether Kid Rock says he's only exploring candidacy, he's selling Kid Rock for Senate merchandise and is a candidate under the law". "I do believe it to be self-evident we are all created equal", Rock declared.

"And if you wanna take a knee and sit there during our Star Spangled Banner, call me a racist because I'm not PC and think you have to remind me that black lives matter. I am also a homeowner and taxpayer in the city of Detroit, so suck on that too!" The eyes of the nation live on TV. "You've never met a m*****f***** quite like me", Kid Rock said.

Kid Rock announced that he would be running for a seat in the U.S. Senate earlier this year when he launched the Kid Rock for Senate website.

Though Rock's publicist told reporters in the days leading up to the show that after the first song at Tuesday's show "he will be giving his fans exclusive insight on his political views and aspirations for Michigan while on stage", and a taped introduction billed him as "the next senator of the great state of Michigan", Rock gave no indication about whether he planned to actually run for the office or not. He has Kid Rock for U.S. Senate shirts available for sale online and at his concerts.

He added about denying the paper a press pass, "To be published without doing any fact-checking on what Kid Rock has done for the city of Detroit?".
