Still very much inspired by France's elaborate Bastille Day military parade this summer, President Trump on Monday said he wants the United States to put on its own version for the Fourth of July.

Macron told Trump "our people" were proud to have him and First Lady Melania Trump visit on Bastille Day. It was two hours on the button, and it was military might.

Frances newly-elected President, Emmanuel Macron, has sent a letter to his Georgian counterpart to mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

But their relationship has since grown close, highlighted by Trump's visit to Paris in July where they held talks and watched a military parade to mark France's annual Bastille Day holiday and the 100th anniversary of the US entry into World War One.

Trump, who has professed an admiration for strongmen and autocratic leaders, has apparently been vying for a chance to show off the military he now commands.

This is not the first time Trump has said he wanted to hold a military parade - he wanted his inauguration to include one as well. The request went unfulfilled.

"We are a world in pieces", Guterres said.

Brazilian President Michel Temer, charged last week with obstruction of justice and leading a criminal organization, flew to NY on Monday to continue the tradition, according to his office.

U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, meanwhile, warned that the threat of a nuclear attack is at its highest level since the end of the Cold War and "fiery talk can lead to fatal misunderstandings".

America's Independence Day is associated with fireworks and barbecues rather than the country's military might.

"We had a lot of planes going over, and we had a lot of military might and it was really a lovely thing to see", he said.

They also cap payouts on unfair dismissals which bosses have always complained were costly and often featured lengthy court cases.

"He basically told them: "Look, I am the boss, and now we're going to crush those who oppose us".

"I'm proposing additional elements (to the deal) that are independent, but that will alleviate concerns that the United States and countries in the region may have", Macron said.

Brazilian President Michel Temer says the United Nations has represented "hope and prospects for a more just world" for the last 70 years and is needed now more than ever.

It is unclear whether or not Trump's July 4 military parade would be an annual event.
