No surprises in Tottenham injury report ahead of Dortmund match

Tottenham will take on Dortmund at the Wembley Stadium in London in Champions League Group H. Saturday's 3-0 win against an abject Everton has kickstarted their Premier League campaign, but they are still without a win at Wembley this season and Dortmund, who are top of the Bundesliga and unbeaten after three matches, will not do them any favours.

Yet Kane is relishing the opportunity to face some of the best players in world football and wants to eliminate the memories of Tottenham's previous Champions League venture with positive results against these big sides.

"All these individual records are good but the most important thing for me is to try to win club trophies - Premier Leagues, FA Cups. We played well against Everton but now we need to improve and show more consistency", Pochettino said.

Mauricio Pochettino's men endured a mixed start to the 2017/18 campaign, winning only two of the initial four Premier League matches.

Spurs will do well to keep the Gabon worldwide quiet at Wembley, where they have struggled in recent times to register results. "It will be tough, Dortmund are a great team".

It would be even harder for Tottenham to recover from another bad start this year - particularly with the Wembley hoodoo hanging over the club and a double-header against Real to come in autumn - and a defeat on Wednesday could leave Spurs unable to qualify by the time they travel to Germany in late November.

Erik Lamela (hip), Danny Rose (knee) and Victor Wanyama (knee) all remain sidelined, as does Georges-Kevin Nkoudou (foot) although the winger is close to returning to first-team training. It's the first time they've reached it in consecutive seasons.

Both sides drifted in the Champions League outright markets after being drawn alongside 4/1 favourites Real Madrid, going from 28/1 to 33/1 apiece, although the German outfit are slightly shorter odds at 4/6 to qualify.
