Okami HD will support 4K resolution on PlayStation 4 Pro, Windows PC and Xbox One X, Capcom said in an announcement.

Capcom has announced that Okami HD will indeed be heading to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC this December, following rumours and a recent Korean rating. Originally developed by Hideki Kamiya's Clover Studio and released on PlayStation 2 in 2006, it was highly praised for its handsome Japanese-style music and visuals. Most purist fans will be glad to know that the loading screen minigames from the original PS2 version that were eliminated for the Wii and PS3 ports will make a return in this version.

Okami is a unique adventure game that allows players to control the Shinto deity Amaterasu, who has taken the form of a white wolf. There will also be a limited edition version for 4,990 yen. The game explores Japanese folklore and features a visual style based on sumi-e ink painting. Interestingly, both PS4 and Xbox One will also get a physical release on top of the digital launch, while the PC version will be available only on Steam. Okami was the penultimate release for Clover Studio before it was dissolved by Capcom in 2007.
