"I am strong but.it just gets overwhelming", said Glades County resident Patty Register.

Glendale Owens, the daughter of one of the men who died, said she visited her father in the nursing home Monday and everything seemed fine. Hollywood police Chief Tom Sanchez said that call came in at either 4 a.m. or 6:25 a.m., but the hospital started moving patients at 7:15 a.m.

The second floor of the Hollywood Hills facility was especially sweltering and is a focus of investigators, according to USA Today.

Calls to the owner and other officials at the Hollywood home were not immediately returned, but the facility's administrator, Jorge Carballo, said in a statement that it was cooperating fully with authorities.

More than 100 people were evacuated from the Rehabilitation Center at Hollywood Hills early Wednesday as fire and rescue crews swarming the facility.

The nursing home fatalities brought Florida's death toll from Irma and its aftermath to 31.

In Lee County, which includes Cape Coral and Fort Myers, the Florida Emergency Management Agency said 66 percent of the area's 290,000 electrical customers were still without power Wednesday.
