British Home Secretary Amber Rudd has described Saturday's arrest of an 18-year-old man in Dover, in connection with a train bombing a day earlier as very significant.

The 21-year old man was detained in west London late on Saturday. "That was shut down, it didn't happen again", she said, adding that the relationship with the United States security services was very important to the UK.

Twenty-nine people were injured when an improvised explosive device partially detonated on a London tube train in Parsons Green station on Friday morning.

Home Secretary Rudd further said that she would urge everyone to be vigilant but not alarmed. Queen Elizabeth honored them for their efforts in 2010.

Basu also said investigators were keeping an "open mind" as to whether more than one person was involved in the attack. "Our priorities. are to identify and locate any other suspects", he added.

Rudd said a key focus was to ensure that there was less material available to radicalise young people.

She went on to call the claim "pure speculation", and said the information is not a leak from Britain.

Amid the chaos created by the recent terrorist attack at Parsons Green station, the British officials have lowered the country's official terrorist threat level from "critical" to "severe".

Images of the bomb posted on social media appear to show a bucket on fire that had been placed inside a plastic bag close to a rail vehicle door.

He also used the attack to promote his controversial policy to ban people coming to the U.S. from six Muslim-majority countries.

Police said they are searching a residential address in Stanwell, Surrey, in conjunction with this arrest.
