"The Iranian regime stands firm", Khamenei stressed.

"The corrupt, lying, deceitful United States officials insolently accuse the nation of Iran... of lying, whereas the nation of Iran has acted honestly and will continue on this path until the end in an honest manner", said Khamenei.

US President Donald Trump has threatened to tear up the deal and his administration has been looking for grounds to declare Iran in noncompliance, despite repeated United Nations declarations that Tehran has stuck to its commitments.

President Hassan Rouhani of Iran said on Sunday that there is an worldwide consensus that the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and great powers is beneficial to the "security", "stability" and "development" of the entire world.

Elsewhere, Rouhani said that the world should condemn cruelty being committed against the Rohingya by Myanmar's government and army.

Iran is determined to use the post-JCPOA atmosphere and expand relations with European countries, especially Belgium, he added.

Rouhani described the Americans as "sitting in another room" at the party. "If they change their bad temper they can enjoy the dinner table".

After years of tension with the West, Iran struck a deal with the world powers of Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States plus Germany in July 2015, under which Iran agreed to limit its uranium-enrichment activities in return for the lifting of western and global sanctions. Trump has said he wants to renegotiate it.

Khamenei claimed that Iran's nuclear program is legitimate but is being crippled by "cruel" sanctions imposed by the United States, "which is opposed to Iran's scientific progress". The US is not the only party expected to work on safekeeping the deal.

He said "bullying" would not sway Iran. Defying the U.S. and the global community, Iran recently announced a plan to boost its missile power through a ballistic missile programme. They are the liars as they allow the fulfillment of their own illegitimate interests at any cost.
