Addressing a public meeting in Madurai late last night, he sought the pardon of AIADMK cadres and the public for lying about Jayalalithaa's health. "Whoever came, would be briefed by Sasikala's relatives that she was all right", Srinivasan said adding that "the truth is nobody saw her".

In their memorandum, the leaders said that the party general council, which is the "true representative body" of all members of the party, had "unanimously" made a decision to annul Sasikala's appointment as interim general secretary, and instead, have the late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa as the AIADMK's eternal general secretary. "We were afraid of Sasikala at that time and lied about Jayalalithaa's health condition. It is very common that sisters who fight inside the house will appear to be friendly outside".

Soon, messages from people across Tamil Nadu began pouring in wishing her good health and a speedy recovery.

According to him, all the people involved in the government and the ruling AIADMK party lied that they had met Jayalalitha at Apollo Hospital.

"Nobody was allowed to see Amma". Beyond that no one was allowed.

Sreenivasan said even the national leaders used to sit in Apollo Hospitals Chief Pratap Reddy's room and the AIADMK Ministers would also be seated in that room. "On the instruction of doctors, Sasikala would go inside Jayalalithaa's room for two minutes". "Had they been left to meet Jayalalithaa, she would have told them what is being done to her" he claimed. "Therefore, there can be no embargo now on the use of the "two leaves" symbol allotted to the AIADMK", the memorandum, signed by Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam said.

"So many things were said to make everyone believed that Amma was doing fine in the hospital and was healthy".

Jayalalitha was admitted to Apollo Hospital on the night of 22nd September previous year due to poor health and she died on December 5.

Reacting to the charge, T.T.V.Dinakaran, nephew of Sasikala, said after October 1, 2016 even Sasikala was not allowed inside Jayalalithaa's room.
