Linkin Park released an episode of "Carpool Karaoke" on Facebook featuring comedian Ken Jeong, and dedicated to the memory of band member Chester Bennington.

A week before frontman Chester Bennington's passing, the band filmed the episode, which was set to air on Apple TV.

Before the episode was released, Bennington's family was consulted to make sure they were okay with the video. They then bring in music from other artists, like "Under the Bridge" by Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith. Throughout the 22 minute episode, Chester was smiling and laughing, and even half jokingly, half seriously said "this is probably the greatest day of my life". "Lily is curious, like, 'Daddy how do you write songs?" His cause of death was officially ruled as a suicide, and came just over two months after his longtime friend, Chris Cornell, the lead singer of Soundgarden and Audioslave, also took his own life.

When asked whether he'd want any of his kids to go into the music industry, he said: "For me, I just want my kids to find something that they're passionate about". Today, the group has uploaded an episode of Carpool Karaoke, hosted by Ken Jeong, that was filmed a week before his death.

Corden's message was appreciated by Bennington's widow, Talinda - who thanked him for his words on Twitter.

According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, Linkin Park will be playing a special one-off concert on October 27 in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl, which will feature special guests.
