The story which is told by Demi, focuses on how she suffered with her mental and physical health in her early teens and how people around her found her hard to work with. It was this that led the people around her to think she was on a "road to suicide".

With just a week to go until Demi Lovato's documentary "Simply Complicated" is released on YouTube, the songstress has given fans a small glimpse of what they can expect by sharing its official trailer.

'I'm looking at my future and my past, and I want to share that with my fans, ' she said.

From the opening seconds, it's clear to see that Demi is going to be brutally honest during the documentary, similarly to the material on her latest album, Tell Me You Love Me.

Lovato recalled having a big crush on Joe Jonas during filming, and remembered the exact scene when that crush turned into real love for her off-screen.

"One thing I'll never stop doing is being honest". I'm coming up on five-and-a-half years of sobriety. "I realize over the time we have shared together that I feel I care more about our friendship right now". But I don't owe anybody anything.' She wrote.

As the friends continued to watch the Camp Rock footage, Matthew notes, "You're a good actress", to which Lovato quips: "Thanks, I wasn't acting much".
