Assistant is a little bit fragmented (if you hadn't noticed) with Google Home, Phones, Android Wear, TV and even Auto all having different amounts of integration.

Google also said that only phones running Android 7.0 Nougat and above with the latest versions of Phone, Android Messages, and Contacts will be able to access video calling at their fingertips.

Google Duo will now only be a tap away in the native Phone, Android Messages, and Contacts app.

One big issue users are most likely to complain about is how the Truecaller app will have to redirect them to the Google Duo app whenever a video call is initiated.

We tested it on a Google Pixel ourselves and found that, while the AR Stickers and Motion Photos didn't work, Face Retouching and the exposure lock were functional. This doesn't look to good to me considering the fact that users will be made to go through a long process just to make video calls.
