The first to land in India for the tournament, Colombia have acclimatised themselves with the conditions, though they started the tournament with a reverse.

"Same goes to their captain [Eric] Ayiah, he needs to gather his teammates and ask them their goal of playing in the tournament, what do Ghanaians expect from them at the end of the competition, and also let them understand that they shouldn't think about playing to earn contract overseas".

Luis Norton de Matos' boys have, however, won hearts all over for their fearless show against higher-ranked Colombia.

According to FIFA, high-level competition matches are often limited during the year in their respective regions and so such opportunities are crucial as the referees prepare for the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2019.

Despite Colombia taking the lead, India still maintained their organisation and came close to scoring twice - KP Rahul missed target with a close range header and Nongdamba Naorem missed a glorious chance from inside the box after a nice run and layoff by Aniket Jadhav. India's goalkeeper Dheeraj Singh Moirangthem will also have to be on guard.

However, the player who seems to have impressed the most with is performance is centreback Anwar Ali.

All 21 players on the Colombia roster play their club soccer domestically. He is set to start alongside skipper Amarjit Singh in midfield.

In the lone striker position, Aniket Jadhav, who impressed after coming on as a substitute, might start in place of Rahim Ali, who was almost anonymous in the game against Colombia. Not only has he had to bear the brunt of wave after wave of attacks on the goal by the opposition side, he has also marshaled the back four, keeping the composure of the team in pressure situations. So that will be an area for the coach to work on. With Ghana relying mainly on their pacy wingers, de Matos will look to use the same formation.

And Gambo, who played an instrumental role in Ghana's victory at the same level in 1995 where they defeated Brazil 3-2 in the final, has advised coach Fabin to earnestly talk to his charges before the clash against India, which have labeled as "make or break".
