Kim Kardashian joins sister Kourtney Kardashian for her birthday trip to Mexico on the latest episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Discussing what she believed to be unflattering photos taken of her on the beach in Mexico, Kim explained, "You take pictures, and if they're not ideal, people just body shame you and criticise you". That being said, the constant body shaming clearly had a huge affect on Kim, who was so bothered by the bikini pics that she declined Kourtney's offer to go jet-skiing. "And if they're not, like, ideal people just, like, body-shame you. for people to just think that's OK is so frustrating".

Even after hiring extra security, Kim's anxiety was far from over.

She said during an appearance on "The View" in June that she believed the pictures had been photoshopped. Earlier on the episode, she suffered a tearful meltdown over whether the vacation home they were in was safe.

The trip proved to be an emotional rollercoaster ride for Kim, so much so that Kourtney joked she "won't be invited" next time. "I can't have fun after seeing those pictures, there's other pictures where I look so good and it's just from a different angle". "It hit me that all of these people in the airport are going to see 17 or 18 girls with our Chanel and Louis Vuitton bags". She admitted, "Ever since Paris I just go through this worst-case scenario mode in my head...."

Some people feel that using editing programs like Photoshop sends a bad message and that the reality star is just mad that what she really looks like came to light.

Later in the episode, friend Jonathan Cheban brought up "the elephant in the room" - the unflattering photos.

"I've become socially awkward for sure".

She said: "I don't get it, I literally don't look like this".

"It was tough rewatching having panic attach & having anxiety about traveling, but I'm so proud to also show u guys that I'm ok now", Kim tweeted.
