It is reported that American-born actor Meghan was invited to Buckingham Palace for tea last week to meet the Queen.

Richard Kay, the always-informed columnist royal of the Daily Mail, comes in effect to formulate things this way, after having learned that the young couple was received by queen Elizabeth II last Thursday at Buckingham Palace.

While a cuppa with your boyfriend's nan doesn't sound like a big deal to us normal folk, in the royal realm it pretty much screams: "We're getting married!"

According to the publication, the pair arrived at the palace at around 5pm in a vehicle with blacked out windows, and were then whisked up to the Queen's private sitting room, where they spent the next hour talking to the royal matriarch.

It is served with her own blend of Darjeeling and Assam tea, known as Queen Mary's blend. Even more so when it involves Prince Harry bringing along his girlfriend!

The pair allegedly joined the Queen for her daily afternoon tea, her "favourite part of the day", when she usually sit downs to enjoy a variety of sandwiches and a selection of her favourite cakes.

As Richard Kay reported, the Queen spent nearly an hour with her grandson and the Los Angeles-born Meghan, who stars in the U.S. legal drama Suits. "Insiders say that Harry had spoken to his grandmother during the summer at Balmoral asking to introduce Meghan". Next month, the Queen and Prince Philip will mark their 70th wedding anniversary; then in December, the royal family will retire to Sandringham for Christmas, meaning that the New Year could be the opportune time for an engagement.

Nice and pleasant, eh?

But now Meghan Markle is back to business, filming her hit TV show suits in Toronto.

It is absolutely no secret that there's probably a royal wedding coming right up.

Come on you two, we are so ready!
