Mobile adds another limit to its 'unlimited' data plans

T-Mobile is about to add a new limit to its unlimited plans

The 5GB data allotment for Mexico and Canada is replenished with every billing cycle.

In 2015, T-Mobile launched its Mobile Without Borders plan which made it a more appealing choice for travelers and businessmen traveling to Canada or Mexico frequently. The users can estimate how much they would be affected while traveling overseas. It's just LTE in Canada and Mexico that's capped.

On November 12, T-Mobile will be adjusting the initial Mobile without Borders offer so that customers will only have access to 5GB of LTE data when traveling overseas in Mexico or Canada.

T-Mobile has stopped its unlimited data packages in Canada and Mexico, and slapped a cap on its LTE data.

For example, if you have 4GB high-speed data total and you use 2GB in the United States, you have another 2 GB high-speed data to use in Mexico and Canada. This plan was offered only for U.S. citizens with a One or One Plus Mobile. However, the company says the data cap has now been imposed in an effort to "prevent usage beyond the intent of the product". Check out the chart above to see how this will affect different plans.

We already know that T-Mobile's unlimited plans have limits, just like they do at every other wireless carrier.

T-Mobile has made this change which will only affect one percent of the people traveling to Mexico and Canada. So in this situation, if you have visited Canada or Mexico you were provided as much LTE data as you ever wanted without any fear of paying back to a huge phone bill. The company will also send you an alert when you've used up 80 percent and 100 percent of your LTE data. The subscribers can approach unlimited LTE by adding One Plus global but it would cost you $25 monthly on the top of your base plan. Get off a plane in Puerto Vallarta, Poughkeepsie or Prince Edward, and you'll have the same outstanding Un-carrier experience.
