Wesley Mathews was arrested on child endangerment charges after his daughter 3 was reported missing

Agency reports quoting United States media reports said the Federal Bureau of Investigation searched the home of the child who is missing since Saturday when her foster father reportedly sent her outside around 3 am as punishment for not drinking her milk.

The search for a missing 3-year-old is still underway in Richardson, TX. A working phone number for Mathews could not be found and it's not clear if he's hired an attorney to speak on his behalf. She told police she was asleep when her daughter went missing.

Before he stopped cooperating with police, he told them he left her outside by a tree at 3 a.m. He said it was the 3-year-old's punishment for not drinking her milk. He then went out to search for her on his own but went back home when he couldn't find her, said Richardson Police Sgt. Kevin Perlich.

"They adopted Sherin; they love Sherin", Starr told Dallas News mentioning that Sini hasn't spoken publicly as "some individuals mourn differently".

Mathews said he ordered Sherin Mathews to stand next to a tree behind the fence at their Richardson home at around 3 a.m. Saturday, according to an arrest affidavit.

According to reports, the police have confiscated Wesley's passport and have made him wear an electronic ankle monitor to track his movements. Perlich said they want that question answered because it did not seem like a normal reaction a parent would have if it involves a missing child.

Police are asking for anyone living in the Sunningdale area to check any video that could contain the vehicle.

Wesley Mathews, 37, was arrested Saturday on charges of abandoning or endangering a child.

Sherin was adopted two years ago from an orphanage in India and has developmental issues and limited verbal communication skills, according to the Dallas Morning News.

According to NBC, Williams was adopted by the Mathews family from an orphanage in India nearly two years ago. She is said to be around 3 feet tall and weighs 22 pounds. Investigators are also now reviewing footage from surveillance cameras, cellphones and laptops to try to determine the whereabouts of the child.

"So part of the feeding thing was to build some mass and put some weight on her so it wasn't uncommon for her to have to be fed on a consistent schedule or as frequently as they could", Perlich said.

The FBI and police collected evidence overnight at Sherin Mathews' home.
