Nanny Deep State: Bob Corker Reveals Establishment Effort to Tame Donald Trump's Agenda

President escalates feud with blast against Republican on Twitter. Bob Corker, a prominent, lame-duck Republican, said Trump was treating his presidency like a reality show and accused the president of being reckless, a sentiment he said was shared by nearly every other Senate Republican.

Republican Sen. Bob Corker stepped up his criticism of President Donald Trump late Sunday, saying the president was running the country like a "reality show" and, through his rhetoric, could set the United States "on the path to World War III".

On Sunday, Corker publicly shared the widespread view among Senate Republicans that the people around Trump were expected to keep him under control. "I said "NO" and he dropped out (said he could not win without my endorsement),"the president wrote".

Asked about the feud by the Associated Press' Adam Beam, McConnell simply called Corker "a valuable member" of the party's conference.

Mackler announced six months ago that his full-time job would be seeking the Democratic nomination for Senator Bob Corker's seat, whether the incumbent was running or not.

Trump and his allies have not backed down, with the president now giving Corker the same nickname treatment he gave 2016 GOP presidential primary rival Sen.

"This is the thing he doesn't understand - I mean this, the president is so out of it, he doesn't understand", Scarborough said.

"L-I-D-D-L-E. Liddle, Liddle, Liddle Marco", he said.

"Corker has 2 aides on line, also recording, and they made sure after it ended that I was taping, too", Martin tweeted Tuesday.

Trump tweeted later in the afternoon Sunday saying Corker only helped with the Iran Deal. "He is also largely responsible for the horrendous Iran Deal!"

Corker responded quickly, saying the White House was an "adult day care center" and telling The Times that Trump's actions could start the USA "on the path to World War III".
