The game starts at 8 p.m. and will be televised by Fox Sports 1.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Astros are a -175 favorite to win the series.

If series are won with pitching, total, the Yankees have a huge advantage in their bullpen. After the tense five games in the ALDS, I'm not sure NY is going to come out firing here.

The Yankees rallied from a 2-0 series deficit to beat the Indians in the best-of-five series with a 5-2 win Wednesday night.

With the New York Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks each winning their Wild Card games to advance to the division series, eight teams are now aspiring to search for the title to either reclaim it or end a longtime drought of postseason misfortune.

The victor of the best-of-7 affair will advance to the World Series.

By then, Gray - who was a significant acquisition before the July 31 trade deadline - won't have been on the mound since October 5, almost a two-week break after his ugly outing in Game 1 of the ALDS. Gray carried a 1.21 WHIP with 153 strikeouts in 162 1/3 innings during the regular season.

CC Sabathia will pitch Game 3 in the Bronx on Monday and Gray will start Game 4 on Tuesday.

I'm not so sure the Houston Astros are glad the Yankees won. Keucheul is 6-3 with a 2.26 ERA in 71 2/3 home innings this season.

In Keuchel's lone postseason appearance this year, he went 5.2 innings with three hits and one earned run for a victory in Game 2.

While Keuchel will duel against Tanaka in Game 1, he shared some admiration Thursday for Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge. However, he managed four walks during the series. Though he is not the hitter Judge is, he's still a slugger who hit 33 home runs in just 122 games this season. Brett Gardner was 8-for-25 in the series and had a key two-run single late in Game 5 to help clinch it. Had Cleveland beaten the Yankees, the Indians would have had the home-field advantage from owning the best record in baseball.

Both Tanaka and Severino will be on normal rest for their first ALCS starts. But the lineup of the Astros is a minefield to navigate through and it's hard to see them being slowed down for an entire series as Boston found out very quickly. "Then my next at bat, I was like if he threw me the nasty cutter first pitch, I might swing and he thew it actually and I fouled it off".
