Paul Merson says Arsenal will hold Tottenham to a draw in the north London derby

Piers Morgan has joked that Harry Kane should come "home" to Arsenal ahead of Saturday's crunch north London derby showdown with Tottenham.

Arsenal have failed to win any of their last six Premier League matches against Spurs.

Harry Kane, meanwhile, is aiming to score in his sixth north London derby in a row.

This is probably the worst possible time for Arsenal to take on a hugely gifted and motivated Tottenham Hotspur, who recently defeated Champions League holders Real Madrid at White Hart Lane.

Spurs, with a coveted manager and young, exciting team, were suddenly the talk of European soccer.

'He's that predator in the box Arsenal have been missing for many years'.

It's why the two rivals find themselves in an unusual position heading into the north London derby on Saturday.

It's a bold prediciton seeing as Arsenal are the bookies' favourite for the match and are at home.

Despite Tottenham finishing ahead of Arsenal last season for the first time in 22 years, Cech believes that a lack of trophies at their bitter rivals undermines any progress that Tottenham have made under Mauricio Pochettino.

Aurier was linked with a move to Arsenal earlier in his career and, although the Ivory Coast global has had a hard start to his spell at Tottenham following his summer switch from Paris Saint-Germain, Wenger was full of praise for him.

"The conclusion of people will be the comparison of the two performances on Saturday".

The Tottenham defender has admitted that he wants to end that drought this season, and has stated that his team will be doing everything in their power to get all three points on Saturday afternoon. That might not happen this season.

Wenger's side are now a hefty 12 points behind Manchester City at the top of the table.

"I hope we can count on them for the game but still we need to decide, between the medical staff and us", said Pochettino at his pre-match press conference. "So that does not mean today we are above Arsenal. Welbeck as well. We will make the decision on them tomorrow". "They were great (in the) Arsene Wenger era, and I think for us it's a massive challenge to stay there and to be competitive against a team that, in the last 20 years, wins more trophies than us".

Morgan told Sky Sports: "Harry Kane's brilliant".

In a way, this is a game that could make or break Arsenal's season. Wilshere has not started a Premier League game this season but Wenger says he is close to a recall.
